Beam measurement - New Products

    Ophir-Spiricon, announces that BeamGage®, the company’s next generation laser beam analysis software, now supports the XEVA InGaAs NIR Camera for demanding applications. XEVA delivers high sensitivity in the NIR spectrum (900-1700 nm) at room temperatures, making it useful for both laboratory and industrial applications. A unique, non-uniformity correction algorithm handles two-point correction plus bad pixel correction to improve image accuracy. The camera’s high resolution InGaAs array is formatted for 320x256 with 30 µm square pixels.

    Ophir-Spiricon, announces the StarLab 2.01, laser measurement software that converts a PC into a multi-channel laser power/energy station. Features of the newest version of the software includeWindows 7 64-bit compatibility and LabVIEWsupport for Ophir-Spiricon’s Juno USB laser sensor to PC interface. Earlier this year, StarLab added synchronization and display of multiple channels in one window, user-defined and multi-channel calculations, and an easy-to-use configuration panel for all channels.     Ophir-Spiricon, announces the PUV ND Filter system. a family of modular, slide-in neutral density attenuators and a C-mount holder designed to attenuate UV laser beams so they are at the proper intensity for CCD or Pyroelectric cameras. The filters work on lasers in the 190 to 380nm range and cover, for example, Excimer, Helium Cadmium, and Nd:YAG UV harmonic wavelengths.

BeamGage now interfaces with Ophir power meters, including the company’s new Quasar wireless device. BeamGage matches the time stamps of the laser power meter readings to the beam profile data with a similar time stamp, providing a more complete view of laser performance.

    PD10-IR-pJ
    Ophir-Spiricon announces the PD10-IR-pJ Photodiode Energy Sensors that measure very low energy, down to 30pJ. Part of the PD10 family of high sensitivity silicon laser sensors, the new devices extend the low measurement capability to the NIR range, covering from 800 to 1800nm. The PD10-IR-pJ energy sensors are designed for very low energy commercial and military applications, such as telecommunications and remote sensing.

    Thermal Laser Power Sensors
    Ophir-Spiricon announces the Thermal Laser Power Sensors with powers up to 400W. These high performance, heat dissipation sensors feature an array of pins for cooling, unlike other devices which rely on flat cooling fins that consume significantly more space. As a result, they are the most compact laser power sensors on the market, half the size of most devices. The modular design can be tailored for a variety of custom OEM applications as well.

    Juno
    Ophir-Spiricon announces the Juno the smart USB sensor to PC interface that converts a laptop or desktop PC into a laser power/energy meter. A compact USB module, the Juno connects any of Ophir-Spiricon’s 100+ smart laser sensors – thermal, pyroelectic, and photodiode -- to a PC USB port. The Juno operates with Ophir-Spiricon’s StarLab software StarLab logs power and energy; calculates and displays averages, statistics, histograms; and more. The system can record every energy pulse at up to 10 KHz.

    PD300-R

    Ophir-Spiricon announces the PD300-R line of Circular Photodiode Sensors. Identical in performance to the company’s popular PD300 laser detectors, the PD300-R feature round geometry for easy mounting and centering on collinear optical bench systems. SM-1 mounting threads on all components ensure a fit with most optics. The sensors are designed to detect a wide range of light levels, from 500 picoWatts to 3W. Each device has a built-in filter that reduces the light level on the detector and allows measurements up to 30mWwithout saturation. A second, removable filter allows measurement up to 3W.

    Laser Beam Dumps
    Ophir-Spiricon announces the Laser Beam Dump products for high power applications, the BD5000W-BB-50 and the BDFL500A-BB-50. These devices are designed to safety absorb the "unused" part of a high power laser beam and dissipate the resulting heat, protecting nearby personnel and equipment. The BDFL500A-BB-50 is a fan-cooled Beam Dump for up to 500W. The BD5000W-BB-50 is a water-cooled Beam Dump for even higher power applications, up to 5kW.

    Ophir-Spiricon announces the BeamGage® Professional latest addition to the company’s family of next generation laser beam analysis systems. BeamGage Professional builds on the features included in BeamGage Standard: Beam- Maker® beam simulator, automatic camera control for ease of use, and comprehensive set of beam analysis algorithms.     PE25BF

    Ophir-Spiricon announces the PE25BF-DIF and PE100BF-DIF the newest members of the company’s line of pyroelectric detectors for repetitive pulses. These energy sensors provide the highest damage threshold, highest pulse energies, and widest spectral range in the industry. The PE25BFDIF has a fast broadband absorber that accurately measures from 193nm to 2.2μm at pulse rates to 150Hz; pulse energies are measured up to 10J. The PE100BF-DIF measures from 193nm to 2.0μm at pulse rates to 40Hz; pulse energies are measured to 40J.While most high damage threshold detectors require multiple diffusers to cover the spectral range, the PE25BF-DIF and PE100BF-DIF use a single, removable diffuser to cover UV, Visible, and Mid-IR wavelengths. This results in an accurate and flexible system that handles a wide range of measurement requirements. The sensors work with most types of pulsed lasers, from short to long pulse, and from low to high energy.

    PE50-DIF

    Ophir announces the new PE50BF-DIF and PE50BF pyroelectric sensors with the new BF absorber with the highest damage threshold in the industry. The DIF sensor with the diffuser has a damage threshold of >4J/cm² and the non diffuser sensor has a damage threshold of 800mJ/cm² for ns pulses at most wavelengths.

    These sensors are able to measure most pulsed lasers of wavelengths from 193nm to 3um, repetition rates up to 120Hz and pulse widths up to 5ms. One sensor can measure a YAG laser and all its harmonics, Excimer lasers, Holmium lasers, Diode lasers, Erbium lasers and many more - all in the same device.

    Shorter Fan Heads

    Ophir has upgraded most of its fan cooled catalog heads to use a more compact and has also modified the power cable connection of the fan to come out of the bottom of the housing instead of the top so as not to interfere with the laser beam. The performance of the heads is the same as before, but the heads are now 13mm shorter than before.

    3A-P-FS

    Now available from Ophir is the 3A-P-FS low power meter for divergent beams. The meter, similar to other members of the 3A family, can measure from 60µW up to 3W but has a fused silica window only 7mm from the 12mm diameter absorbing surface so it can measure divergent beams up to ±40 degrees such as from low to medium power illumination diodes. It is meant to replace the present 3A-FS.

    ModeCheckTM

    Ophir-Spiricon announces ModeCheck™, the Industrial CO2 Laser Beam Profiler. BeamGage is the industry’s first beam profiling software to be newly designed, from scratch, using the most advanced tools and technologies. BeamGage is based on UltraCalTM, Ophir- Spiricon’s patented baseline correction algorithm that helped establish the ISO 11146-3 standard for beam measurement accuracy. BeamGage provides high accuracy results, guaranteeing the data baseline (zero-point reference) is accurate to 1/8th of a digital count on a pixel-by-pixel basis.

    Ophir Power/Energy Meter - LBS-300

    Ophir Power/Energy Meter - New Products - PE50-DIF

    Ophir announces the new PE50-DIF all purpose pyroelectric energy meter. This is the most versatile energy meter on the market today.

    This versatile energy head is able to measure most pulsed lasers of almost all wavelength, pulse width and frequency at over 1J/cm2.
    It can measure a YAG laser and all its harmonics, an Excimer laser, a Holmium laser, Diode laser, Erbium laser and many more - all in the same device.

    The wavelength range of the PE50-DIF is from 193nm to 3000nm and it is calibrated over the entire range.
    The damage threshold is >1J/cm2 for nanosecond pulses at up to 2000nm wavelength.
    It will measure pulses at rates up to 3,000 pulses per second and will measure lasers of 1ms pulse width and shorter

    Ophir Power/Energy Meter - New Products - USB L11058

    The USB L11058 camera is designed for measuring large ultraviolet laser beams. It’s high  resolution, 4008 x 2672 pixel format allows profiling of beams up to 24 x 36 mm without requiring reduction optics.
